The Second Stretch

I was inspired today by the message that Steven Furtick preached on Creating Separation

I wrote this shortly after:

Pressing On

You drown my doubts in the deep waters that surround me.
You rescue me and plant my feet on the dry land you provide.
My heart is full of praise and thanksgiving for you have me believing in your promises.
Promises which state that you will never abandon, that you hold the world in your hands.
Your determination to separate my heart for you and you alone has me captivated by your embrace.
The passionate nature of your love has me swept away with awe and joyful admiration.
Seeing your provision and faithfulness lets me realize my own deprivation.

How can I keep doubting your faithfulness when the proof surrounds me?
How can I keep from stretching out my hands in faith to see what you will do in, through, and around me?

Going forward this season I have come to the realization that I have decided to follow Christ and no matter the price no matter the persecution no matter the obstacles ahead there will be NO TURNING BACK!

I am pursuing missions not because it is a travel opportunity, not because it is another experience or something good to do. I am doing it for God calls us (believers of Christ) to obedience. He asks us to be willing to be set apart for him and go into all the nations and preach the gospel, the transforming, life changing message of His love for ALL people. I am going to Malawi this winter for God has called me to go and be the hands and feet of him over there with those that are already doing life changing work. Over these past few months I have worked through many obstacles including doubt but I have come to realize that He alone is faithful. He is the one holding me and guiding me and He will see his work to completion. If you want to support me in this work please keep me in prayer and support me financially. I can't do it on my own.

This is the second stretch.

The waters will not drown me. I will pass through. God's hand of protection is upon me. I will not be overtaken. I need only to stretch out my hand, act in obedience and watch what He will do.
